GET /api/catalog parameters:
q: accent-insensitive search with plurals, related terms and minor typo tolerance.
All meaningful words must match. Budget phrases such as "tea under $25"
apply an inclusive USD ceiling; explicit filters are never relaxed.
category: all, food, textile, experience, object.
country: two-letter origin code, e.g. JP or IN; see facets.countries for flags
and names. Only documented origins match. Merchant location is not origin.
tags: comma-separated exact tags, AND semantics. Consult response facets.tags.
minPrice, maxPrice: inclusive nonnegative USD price per listed unit.
sort: rarity (default), name, priceAsc, priceDesc. With q, the default ranks
text relevance first, then rarity. With no filters, the feed mixes categories
and product types, opening with warm light. Stable ID tie-breaks.
availability: exact value from response facets.availability; not live stock.
limit: integer 1–100, default 28. offset: nonnegative integer, default 0.

Responses: version, revision, total before pagination, limit, offset,
nextOffset (null at end), applied filters, facets, items.
400: invalid/unknown parameter. 404: missing item. 405: unsupported method.
Only GET and HEAD. No credentials needed. No checkout or booking API.

Finite price filters EXCLUDE unknown prices, historical non-sale items and
admission-only estimates. Zero is a real value, never an unknown sentinel.
Units vary: a jar is not a kilogram. Tax/shipping/travel are not included.
No guarantee of availability. Source-linked descriptions summarize source
claims; price.verified=false means the amount is not a verified current offer.
sourceCheckedAt is a research date, not a live stock timestamp.
rarity=null means not editorially scored. Do not interpret it as zero rarity.

Public collection: see total in /api/catalog. Live Exa results and private bookmarks
are not included. Source URLs are in sourceUrl and/or _url. Photos, where
used, may be contextual; read imageNote. Share links use stable seed IDs.
Copy controls include name, tagline, unit/price context, availability and link.
Native Share is used where supported; clipboard is the fallback.

Private account actions require user authorization. Accounts remain
unconfigured until Supabase is connected. Never infer successful login from
a redirect or claim that device bookmarks are cloud-synced.

Use https://acquistion.org for public requests and resolve relative links
against that origin. Local development uses https://acquistion.org.

Additional filters: kind (case-insensitive exact display type), source (exact hostname).
fields: comma-separated projection; see /openapi.json for allowed fields.
revision: pin pagination; 409 means restart. Follow links.next without rebuilding it.
ETag varies by query representation. If-None-Match supports 304.
Source-import records disclose provenance; identity/source retrieval is not
price, stock, scarcity, seller-partnership or fulfillment verification.

Import refresh: python3 scripts/import-sources.py --fetch; then rebuild and audit.
No scheduler is installed. A successful local audit is not public indexing evidence.

Freshness: source records are refreshed manually, with no guaranteed interval.
ETag confirms that this RARA representation is unchanged, not that a merchant
still has the same price or stock. Preserve provenance.retrievedAt and
sourceCheckedAt; never replace them with the time you accessed the API.
