The story

Quince describes a small-batch sweater made in Peru from undyed vicuña fiber. Each garment is individually numbered; the seller specifies an 11–13 micron fiber thickness.

The golden-brown colour belongs to the fiber itself. Quince says the animals are shorn every two to three years. The sweater is knitted in Peru, individually numbered and supplied with an authenticity label.
